WPL NEWS | Phase Two Fixtures Announced

Citizens begin Phase Two against Cardiff Met at the VSM Bangor Stadium on Saturday, 3 February

The JD Welsh Premier League season reboots after the mid-season break with a full set of fixtures between Thursday, 1 February, and Saturday, 3 February.

The opening Matchday 23 fixture will be the clash between Connah’s Quay Nomads and Bala Town to be shown on Facebook Live. However, The Citizens begin the second phase of the season with a home fixture as Cardiff Met will be the visitors to the VSM Bangor Stadium on Saturday, 3 February (4:15pm Kick Off).

A full February schedule sees The Citizens travel to Park Hall, Oswestry on Friday, 9 February, followed by a home match against Connah’s Quay Nomads the following Friday, 16 February. Another Friday fixture rounds off the month at The Rock to face Huw Griffiths’ Cefn Druids on 23 February.

The JD Welsh Cup takes precedent on the opening weekend of March before WPL Matchday 27 resumes for The Citizens with Bala Town’s visit to Nantporth on Friday, 9 March. A fortnight later and Cardiff Met are the hosts as Bangor make the longest journey in their schedule on Sunday, 25 March, before entertaining The New Saints at home just five days later on Good Friday, 30 March.

Matchday 30 entails a visit to the Deeside Stadium to meet Andy Morrison’s Nomads side on Saturday, 14 April. The return fixture against Cefn Druids is scheduled for Friday, 20 April, followed by a trip to Maes Tegid to face Colin Caton’s Bala Town for the WPL’s final set of fixtures which all Kick Off at 7:30pm on Friday, 27 April.
