Yalany Baio needs no introduction to the Citizen fans after spending some time with the club in 2016/17 Season where the club gained qualification for the Europa League.
The all action midfielder now 23-year-old is a tough tackling midfielder who holds dual Guinea-Bissau and Portuguese nationality.
Baio Began his career in the Sporting Lisbon youth structure, Baio joined Liverpool in 2011 where he spent 3 years featuring in the Reds’ youth and reserve sides as well as playing in the Portuguese Under 18 National Team. Baio spent last season getting rave reviews playing for Gibraltar United in the Gibraltar Premier Division under the guidance of former Real Madrid & Spain International Michel Salgado.
Craig Harrison was very complimentary of the energetic midfielder: “Yalany coming back to Bangor City is a very good signing. He clearly has quality and pedigree as playing for the likes of Liverpool, Sparta Rotterdam you have to be a very good player. He done really well for Bangor the season before last and I remember him well from my TNS days where he was excellent in a very close Welsh Cup game going to extra time. Great enthusiasm, energy, good physicality in a challenge and very determined with a great attitude. I’m looking forward to working with him”.
Yalany Baio will wear the Number 4 shirt for the 2018/19 season.
