CLUB NEWS | Bangor City FC Appoint New Director

7 months ago By Kevin Owen

Bangor City FC are delighted to announce the arrival of a new director at the VSM Bangor Stadium as Luke Purcell joins the Board of Directors

Luke comes to the Football Club with vast experience and knowledge. He previously played for Fulham, Barnet, Dagenham & Redbridge and Canvey Island. Luke also managed the Centre of Excellence at Southend United FC while he was playing non-league football. More recently Luke managed a large Sporting Venue in Central London and worked at Southport FC as the First Team Coach earlier this season.

His role at the Football Club will be as the Business Development Manager. He will be overseeing a number of new projects and initiatives at the Club. These will be behind the scenes as well as on a match day and within the local community.

Luke said “I cannot wait to get my teeth stuck in to the role. This is a fantastic club with great tradition and history. The club has the best fans and fan base in the league and they need a club to be proud of and excited about. It is our responsibility to ensure that we are doing absolutely everything we can on and off the field to make them feel engaged a real part of the club. The foundations are already in place with an excellent academy structure which has seen a number of local players break through and play in the first team. Not to mention the coaches and volunteers that do a great job and give up a huge portion of their time to benefit Bangor City Football Club.”
