Citizens Duo Selected for Wales Under-18 Academy Friendly

Academy youngsters Guto Williams & Louis McFarlane receive call-up for Wales Under-18 Academy friendly fixture on 2 November

Congratulations to Guto Williams and Louis McFarlane on their selection for the Wales Under-18 Academy squad for a friendly fixture against Newport County AFC which will be played at Merthyr Tydfil on Thursday, 2 November ( 2pm Kick Off).

This season, both players have been an integral part of the successful Bangor City Under-19 side which has claimed the Welsh Premier Development League North title over the previous two seasons as well as the national title in 2015/16.

Williams and McFarlane have formed a formidable central defensive pairing for the Under-19's this term as the young Citizens defend their WPDL North crown.

17-year-old Williams has also made the transition to the First Team squad and has featured regularly in the JD WPL squad this term, making his full debut in the Nathaniel MG Cup Second Round fixture at Connah's Quay Nomads on 3 October.

The squad chosen by Wales Under-18 Academy Manager Mark Pike and Assistant Steve Evans for the friendly at Merthyr Town's Penydarren Park is as follows:
