Wow is about the only word that I can sum up to describe the end of this game. An unbelievable 5 minute sequence saw three goals as Bangor took the lead, lost it then took it again to break Aber hearts and clinch the points.
The first half was quiet by comparison of what was to come. Rittenberg went close for Bangor on 22' but his shot was deflected over by Johnny Spittle, while for the Seasiders Declan Walker had the best chance of the half, his shot from just outside the box well saved by Connor Roberts.
Into the second half and this is where the game came alive. Kellaway went close twice early on for Aber, before Brayden Shaw forced Mullock into a smart save at the other end. It was from a Bangor corner that the scoring opened, but at the other end as an Aber breakaway led to Ryan Wollacott crossing for Luke Borrelli, the Aber forward sending an excellent volley back across goal into the net.
That was the spark that set the game alight. Gary Taylor-Fletcher, on as a sub minutes earlier, levelled on 66' with a smart finish past Mullock at his near post. From there, both sides went for it, Gosset and Shaw both going close for Bangor, and Joe Phillips being denied for Aber by a good save from Roberts.
Bangor looked to have clinched the points two minutes from time when a Luke Wall cross was met by an unmarked Shaw at the back post, but a minute later the scores were level again, good work by Borrelli as he crossed the ball for Craig Hobson to bundle home what everyone thought was the final goal of the game. However, the Citizens had other ideas, and in the 93rd minute Steven Hewitt volleyed home the winner to the jubilation of the Bangor fans.
